THE BEST WAY TO LIVE IS TO BE SELF AWARE
The Occasional Inspiration In The Mornings
How would you know if you are aware? What are the signs? There is nothing supernatural about awareness. From my experience there are only moments of experiencing the good and the bad.
That’s where a person’s self-awareness will need to be achieved over their lifetime. Walking the path of life is the only way to achieve awareness.
To grow and to keep a healthy body, we all need food. Similarly, that’s how we gain awareness – we have to go through the good things in life, and the bad that comes along with it.
Wisdom needs to be fed. The mind, body and soul need to be fed to achieve wisdom.
When someone asks me “how do you know when you are aware”, I don’t really have a definitive answer because every individual in this world was born to be different.
Our life path is different, our taste for food and lifestyle preferences are definitively different.
As my years wore on, I observed and learnt that every person’s life is shaped by the place where they were born in; the surroundings; the family environment, the workplace and most importantly, the type of education that one receives.
One could create their own self-awareness questions based on their life’s journey.
Remember, nothing is definitive or etched in stone.
Apply your journey of awareness according to what is currently happening in your life. Or, not even happening.
The most important thing is to be aware of your thoughts and actions.
The dictionary describes the word awareness as a noun:
"knowledge or perception of a situation or fact"
So, what are your perceptions of a situation or facts?
When I discovered awareness, or mindfulness as some would call it, my life transformed for the better. Things or people that I viewed as important, or that I needed, slowly faded away.
I became aware of what my soul needed. I learned to let go and discovered the blessings of detachment.
Here’s what we should do to be self aware of our current situation
Sit alone (in a quiet place if possible) - no digital devices, focus on your breathing and start asking questions like those below:
Who am I?
What am I now?
Am I happy?
Why did I feel anger?
Did I say anything wrong to my friend, colleague or family member?
Did I make the right decision at work?
Should I say this or that to him or her?
Must I do what my boss instructed me to, even though it feels wrong?
What action should I take?
Do I want to do this or that?
There are many more ways of being self aware online and on YouTube. The most important thing is to clear your mind.
Maybe you could try meditation.
It has helped me a lot and likely has opened up my third eye. I am grateful to be tuned in!
