How It Is Like Being A YouTuber So Far

Today's video featured a restaurant called, Masala Mansion Indian Dining

For someone like me in my mid-50s, creating YouTube videos is a constant miracle.

And, it keeps me busy.

Of course, there are some videos that will or won't get me excited.

Not like when I was in my 20's.

It is only a natural phenomenon, I suppose.

The physical side of things is also another contributing factor.

Mainly, the eyesight.

Even as I whack out this blog, it is so hard to work without expensive prescription multi-focal glasses.

This small "road block" won't turn me of though.

I will be going to Daiso, Mid Valley today to check out their simple, affordable and functional reading glasses.

For more than a year, I've been happily and gratefully developing and creating YouTube videos to keep myself busy.

Hopefully the subscribers enjoy watching my 'where to eat' videos.

Using only my Korean camera phone, two types of tripods, filters when needed and steady hands, it has been a surprisingly satisfying experience to date.

Most of my videos were unscripted and unplanned to allow the viewer into my daily life of eating various kinds of foods. This allows viewers to enjoy watching a "first-person-account" type of experience in my view.

Videos that were planned, I researched the locations via the internet.

I have learned that I cannot be long-winded like when we wrote stories for newspapers and magazines.

Even a video is totally different from still photos, of course.

The best part - I am finding a footing of how my videos should tell the story. I am discovering my type of niche.

One thing's for sure, the process of having to learn video editing using Capcut, and learning what my camera phone can or cannot do for specific videos, does light up my soul.

I am feeling some of the old passion that I used to have when I was a professional photojournalist for newspapers and magazines.

Slowly, I am discovering the beautiful world again and it is igniting a side of my soul again, that desperately needs it.

Visiting new places; taking public transport to a location, and telling a story, certainly has its soulful perks for a creative person.

I am also grateful to my family and friends who have encouraged me on this hobby. Not to mention for subscribing, sharing and liking my videos.

You guys are the best... Thank you so much!!!

Maybe, my time in the corporate and business world is finally over?
