THE ONLY WAY FORWARD IS TO DO GOOD & BE GOOD

Be Grateful For What You Have And Don't.

When was the last time that you have felt grateful and thankful for the essential things that you received in your life?

Most of the time, we humans are an ungrateful lot. Many will will argue that they are.

The truth is, all of us tend to forget that our existence here has a reason, a purpose. I believe we all have to serve our own karma - repay our debts or bad actions from previous lives in this world.

Even Mr. Donald Trump was born into this world for a purpose - whether for good or bad.

Those that follow him, also have their individual purpose or karma to serve in their lifetime.

Self-awareness holds the key to our inner peace and the general understanding of life.

Awareness of our own actions and speech is a wonderful practice of understanding Cause & Effect in our world.

I am still learning about self-awareness and I encourage all my friends and family on the topic.

Here's a site that pretty much explains about self-awareness: https://positivepsychology.com/self-awareness-matters-how-you-can-be-more-self-aware/

The reason I wrote about this topic today was because I woke up thinking about some of my past experiences in my working life.

Some experiences hit hard and hurt obviously, but thanks to self-awareness and accepting that no one is perfect in this world certainly has extinguished a lot of the mental pain.

It doesn't matter anymore to me that some colleagues did not pull their weight, no matter what position they held, but the most important lesson that I had from toxic work places was that 'I will not do what they do to others'.

If the Board of Directors don't care, who are we to bother?

That is the reality in working life... many people work for the sake of earning a salary to pay for their bills every month.

They have no dreams or aspirations. They clock in, open their emails, attend a meeting or two and they then jump onto Social Media to destress. Correct or not?

No impactful contributions, no sense of belonging because it is not their company. Where is the company's belief system? Is there a "Mission Statement"?

Are people grateful anymore to their companies for giving them a salary?

From my past experience, there are those that care about their purpose in the company but unfortunately, many are just showboating and carrying their bosses balls in the hope of a promotion or a year-end bonus.

However, I can safely tell you that there are genuine leaders in companies that excel to achieve targets and gain success.

These are the "superstars" that will rise in life swiftly.

Sadly, the bosses will turn a blind eye to these individuals because they pose a threat to their eco-system... "a smart person that can spot weaknesses and expose the culprits and weaknesses of the organization".

These "stars" are the ones that usually leave the company because they are hungry, and other companies will offer them jobs and higher positions.

So, what and who are YOU at work and in the world today?

The author is still learning about "when you do something, do it properly". Work like you don't need the money. Love unconditionally. Be kind and generous in action, speech and in giving to the needy.
