It's A Holiday But You Have To Work

Who said life was meant to be easy... no work, no money lor!

Season's greetings to all... hope your holidays are going well so far.

Today is Boxing Day.

Obviously there are people working, and I am receiving messages and emails from all around the world. Thank you Universe.

Associates and colleagues are still buzzing, looking forward to 2025 work and business matters.

Part and parcel of being a consultant I suppose, and not at all complaining.

My respect goes out to the police, fire department, government servants, health care workers and many others that have to work during the holiday season.

Not everyone will share my enthusiasm during this holiday period, but I am accustomed to working on holidays to put food on the table for the family (Work Life Balance?!!).

It also brings back fond memories from 2018 when my events and media management partnership was going strong. Best time of my career indeed.

Life is a journey, and those times definitely brought very meaningful times of self-discovery and realization.

That period tested my character; showed me that I was blessed with inner will and leadership; gave me an excuse to use my creative talents, most of which came in handy to resolve situations or manage client demands.

It also brought me to many destinations that I never expected to visit.

And, along the way I met many beautiful souls.

Nowadays, not much or anything gives me much stress.

Perhaps, I have found grounding and obviously in my mid-50s', don't give a s**t with the crap of others'.

Let you "shiok sendiri" lah! One day, you will langgar pokok, as I have for many years.

Many lessons were beyond harsh, but I have long accepted them and moved on... used them to my advantage even.

In the past, I have given much advice to many, maybe even lectures. If you ever received one or two from me before, that means I cared.

We all have differences of opinion anyway.

So, if you are reading this and you have to deal with a lot of work or a bad colleague, don't give up.

Use every difficult situation or toxic person you face as a positive. Be grateful and thankful.

Control your thoughts and emotions. Be Mindful.

Be aware of your inner self and actions. How you react, makes you.

Always remember, life is about cause an effect.

Om Mani Padme Hum.

What Matters Most Is Inside You

Somehow, humans are a bunch of sensitive, overreacting bunch!!! Observing the way things have been going, it is obvious that the world, and in particular, the human species will never change. Our lives are filled with the trails and tribulations of evolution and co-existence. Wars... they are inevitable and have always been existent even before billions of us were born. With the good, comes evil. IS ANYONE GOING TO STOP THE GENOCIDE HAPPENING IN THE MIDDLE EAST? Never mind that... Just look into the mirror and ask yourself whether you have felt anguish and hatred towards another human being? Have you gotten so angry before that you felt like strangling an irritating, back-stabbing colleague? Yes..., you have right? It is okay that you have had such feelings as we all have faced our fair share of bad and evil people in our lives. Do we just sit in silence or do we do something about it? When I was younger, I would have chosen the latter cause of action. Nowadays, I am trying my best to ...

GRATEFUL FOR 2024

From me to yours... Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!   Another Eventful Year on Earth Checked. Have we been naughty or nice?! Wow... what an experience the Universe presented me in 2024. The year started quietly with much uncertainty as a consultant. Truly, my year kick-started in February when I was appointed the Media Officer of the IRS Prima Malaysian Open 2024 at The Mines Resort & Golf Club. I was so happy to work with the international team of professionals from Fairway Inspire Sdn Bhd and the Asian Tour. It was a time to reunite with guardian angels from the past and to connect with new friends. You guys will always remain close to my heart and etched in my positive memory vault. This year, I travelled to many golf courses telling the Smartscore scoring and management solutions story (Still peddling the stories!). Fortunately or unfortunately, realised that the golf club management scene has not changed much from the 2000s'. The majority of clubs nationwide are stil...

SEEK BALANCE THROUGH AWARENESS

What we know, or don't, was meant to be. Through observation and understanding, your mental and physical state will stay healthy and happy. I always find it fascinating hearing conversations. Whether it is a group of retirees at a kopitiam  or the youngsters at cafes. Not that I am a serial eavesdropper, but these are loud groups that share information on topics regarding politics, love and life in general. Typical Malaysian mah..., "you don't know meh?", is the usual 'I knew the story before you' trait! Of course, many receive their information from the web and social media platforms that are mostly fake news (Many will argue that they are true!). Some debates seem like arguments at times, while there have been occasions when friendships end due to differences of opinion.    Aren't we humans a special bunch?! Most often than not, and subconsciously, we speak without realizing the truth or knowing the facts of a case or subject matter. It is perfectly norm...
