What Matters Most Is Inside You

Somehow, humans are a bunch of sensitive, overreacting bunch!!!

Observing the way things have been going, it is obvious that the world, and in particular, the human species will never change.

Our lives are filled with the trails and tribulations of evolution and co-existence.

Wars... they are inevitable and have always been existent even before billions of us were born.

With the good, comes evil.

IS ANYONE GOING TO STOP THE GENOCIDE HAPPENING IN THE MIDDLE EAST?

Never mind that...

Just look into the mirror and ask yourself whether you have felt anguish and hatred towards another human being? Have you gotten so angry before that you felt like strangling an irritating, back-stabbing colleague?

Yes..., you have right?

It is okay that you have had such feelings as we all have faced our fair share of bad and evil people in our lives. Do we just sit in silence or do we do something about it?

When I was younger, I would have chosen the latter cause of action.

Nowadays, I am trying my best to practice forgiveness, loving kindness, awareness and detachment.

Funnily enough, and not surprisingly, many friends and family members have always said: "It is easy to love more than detaching from everything material and physical in this world."

I can't agree more, as ALL of us are caught-up in this life through rebirth, as I was taught. Or, is it a system created to programme us?

How can we not live without buying clothes and shoes for ourselves and our family?

How can we avoid buying a car to travel from point A to point B?

Why must we live according to some "dream life" created by smart money-making human beings?

The answer is already obvious and becomes another question... "can we do without desires and lust" for the so-called 'necessities' and "things of our status symbol"?

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE

If you suffer from denial, delusion and ignorance, you can stop reading this and return to other matters pertinent to you.

There is always a way in life to make change or changes whether it involves family our work life.

Personally, what I have learnt so far in my mid-50's is that all my actions or in-actions have created Cause & Effect.

I have been afflicted and conflicted by good and bad times, success and failure throughout my life. There has never been a constant or consistence to life.

Suffering, I dare remind you, is constant in this life. We have to see out and serve our karma.

That is the law of the Universe.

DETACHMENT

Hahaha... not easy but I am happy to share how and why it has helped me so far, although it is never 100%.

Here are my top tips of detaching, or looking at life's negatives as positives:

1. Toxic People: They are everywhere! There's no escape! But worry not... the best way to detach from such people is to stay away, say less to them and to avoid at all cost. It is just your fear that you have to overcome to walk away. I have done it many times without fear or favour. YES,YOU CAN!

2. Material Temptations: Buy what you need and not what you crave or lust for. Ask yourself this: "Do I need it?". Say this to yourself: "I do not need to buy that item because I never had it before and will I likely not feel better having it?" And, remind yourself that branded clothes and items were created for the rich and famous. Most are made by the poor in third world countries at low margins and sold to you at an exorbitant price. Buy only when there is a need.

3. Meditation: Since I discovered meditation, my life has changed for the better. I am calmer, more clear in my thoughts and actions. Try it. It is the best ever feeling and awareness trip!

4. Chanting of Mantras: This is very had to explain without sounding like someone trying to convert another human... Ever since I started chanting mantras, my soul has taken a beneficial shift. I cannot explain the benefits exactly, but I am certainly feeling more at peace and grounded. It has become easier for me to control my temper and reaction to situations or toxic humans. Helps to abstain and detach. You can pray to the faith of your choice, whether in your heart or at a place of worship.

Seek a guru. Manifest all that you want and be happy.

Just don't harm others. Practice loving kindness.

SHARING WHAT I LEARNT... SO FAR!

Throughout my life, I have been blessed with many experiences from challenges - the good, the bad and the ugly. Like most other humans on Earth, there have been times when there seems to be no hope. The dark days were often filled with calamities in career and finances most of the time. Sounds familiar, right? For me, I have been fortunate to have family and friends to be there for me. May they be blessed with a happy and prosperous life. One thing is for sure, I realized now at 54, not all bad days will stay, just like good happy days. This realization comes from the "polishing" of my inner-self over the years; the hammering of the ego, the much-needed slap of my pessimistic nature... heck, whatever weaknesses that I was born with. Wisdom setting in? The meeting with many people that I came into contact with in my life, and the various situations that I had to deal with in my career and personal life of course, was the foundation laying of this realization. Learning from the

REMINDER: BE KIND

Have people forgotten to be kind & respectful to each other? Hello beautiful people. I was awakened by inspiration to write on this topic. In our daily lives, we meet many people who are either nice or toxic. If we're lucky, some of us can feel people with kind or bad energy. The experiences are unavoidable and is part of our life path or fate, I suppose. Yin and yang,  I have personally encountered good and bad people. More good and kind souls, thankfully. But either or, they are blessings of experience that have given me awareness and wisdom. Recently, I have encountered many rude people. They seemed to have forgotten their manners or the basic need to be kind and loving to others. Some are just plain rude. Has the desire and greed for success, money and power gone to their heads?  We must remind ourselves that we cannot change people though. Here are some tips for everyone to be aware of their speech and actions daily: Be kind You are not better than another person Don'
