If you were in the middle class group, you are likely now poorer than ever before.

Some may ask why, but the writing is on the wall...

The current economic crisis, or recession, is caused by obvious factors.

A lack of accountability has befallen Malaysia.

No one asks questions anymore. People just keep quiet out of fear or a lackadaisical manner.

Oh how have we arrived to this present and sorry state of affairs?

Or, is it just the usual "tidak apa" attitude?

Maybe people are just greedy, trying to pay for a lifestyle that they can't afford.

This "can't save money anymore" scenario is likely caused by the implementation of the GST.

A dear Malay friend called this morning to express her frustration about the general population that does not seem to care anymore...

She lamented how political bigots misconstrue religion and play the race card.

I advised her that it is best to just take a deep breath and not be too vocal..., as we are only voices ignored by the fiends who are blinded by greed and corruption.

But there is hope I told her over the phone..., myself, clinging on to a small bit of believe that the Malaysian in general is not lost in this meaningless abyss.

People just need to open their eyes and stop "killing" each other over business.

It is time to work together, to stand strong and united against this disease that is dividing everyone.

Do not go with the flow if you think it is wrong.

Learn to say no, or just walk away.

Free yourself from decadence.

Bring back the true meaning of being Malaysian.

RESPECT MUST BE EARNED & GIVEN

Last night, a friend and I were talking about the topic of people having the lack of respect for others. This conversation arose when the lady driver of a parked car was honking non-stop for at least 10 minutes before the driver of the other car that was blocking her in showed up. To our horror, that driver did not even apologize, jumped into his car and drove away. Obviously, the lady was furious and who could blame her. Zero points for humanity. I myself have been blocked in for at least half an hour once in my life. Then, I was parked in Kuchai Lama in the early 2000's. There was no contact number on the windscreen and I was obviously late for my appointment with a customer. When the lady finally appeared her apology was very difficult for me to accept because she said nonchalantly, "I was stuck in a meeting...

ARE YOU RUDE & ILL-MANNERED?

Even AI technology knows more about manners than most human beings. Growing up I was constantly bombarded, not only by my parents, but by other adults on the importance of saying "please" and "thank you". "Please" was when I asked for something and "thank you" was uttered when I received. I am grateful for that foundation laying from primary school. Of course, most of the credit must go to all the top-quality school teachers that have given me a few knocks on the head since 1977!!! That means they cared and I was likely meant to meet them for obvious reasons. I am forever grateful and thankful for these blessings. I shall not even start with some of today's poor quality of undedicated teachers (not all are bad of course!) or the education system today in my beloved Malaysia. Somehow, humans are a bunch of sensitive, overreacting bunch!!! Observing the way things have been going, it is obvious that the world, and in particular, the human species will never change. Our lives are filled with the trails and tribulations of evolution and co-existence. Wars... they are inevitable and have always been existent even before billions of us were born.
