After 10 glorious years, the curtains have inevitably come down for this publication. Being with the magazine for nearly 10 years, the Blu Inc Media Sdn. Bhd. team and I have truly enjoyed every moment of producing the biggest golf magazine in the world to Malaysian golfers. This final issue marks the end of a glorious run, not because we want to, but the current poor economic climate has forced us to make a commercial decision. Furthermore, consumers have embraced the digital media revolution.  Social media is the new rage, with consumers absorbing news, fake or otherwise, on their digital devices. THE DANGEROUS REALITY OF SOCIAL MEDIA

Received this morning on Whatsapp. The perils and social ills arising from a world of humans sucked into social media, and the subconscious desire to get more likes certainly has changed us. This Whatsapp message I received this morning certainly sends a reality jolt: _Police Questioning a Robber:_ *Police:* How did you come to know that there was no one in the house? *Robber:* The update of the entire family with 15 photos was available on facebook. *_"Enjoying Holidays away from home for one week_".* Think about this seriously. *_Be careful what you put on facebook._* Discuss this with your children & wards. *_Stop sharing personal information on the social media!!!_* 📛 Don't advertise your happiness on social media. 📛 Don't advertise your happy marriage On social media. 📛 Don't advertise your holidays on social media. 📛 Don't advertise your kids achievements on social media. 📛 Don't advertise your pregnancy on social media. 📛

But we now know that the knights of the journalism order are a dying breed, or extinct, due to the world's hunger and greed to sell digitally. Those days, newspapers called it sensationalism. Today, this need is called a trend. A trend that was created from a need to make the world a better place to live in. The digital age is wonderful but it comes with many uncountable prices to pay. What about telling the truth to expunge the evil side of man? To stop bigots and bullies from trampling on the weak. Are we not forgetting to uphold this simple virtue of humanity for the  sake of getting more eyeballs amongst those aged 21-35? What about raw and accurate facts in stories found on the web? What about justice instead of profits? I bet the majorit
