KOTA PERMAI GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB NEW GOLF WING NOW OPEN

After a year of renovations, the golfing fraternity finally witnessed the opening of Kota Permai Golf & Country Club's new golf wing. Seeing the artist impressions last year, I was totally impressed by what I saw in person yesterday. From the registration area to the changing rooms, the interior design of the new golf wing had a luxe ambience. After the launching ceremony members of the media and business partners of Kota Permai were treated to a sizzling hot round of golf on the famous Ross Watson-designed course. The extreme heat would switch to a torrential storm and play was abandoned due to high lightning activity. That gave the guests a chance to experience the new changing room facilities. Indeed, it was one of the most invigorating baths that I have had in a long time. At most shower rooms of golf clubs, the water temperature can prove difficult to control - you either get water that is too cold or burning hot. But the showers here certainly passed t

*As published in the final edition of Golf Digest Malaysia in January 2018. The world's favourite word may also create issues for society. After 10 glorious years, the curtains have inevitably come down for this publication. Being with the magazine for nearly 10 years, the Blu Inc Media Sdn. Bhd. team and I have truly enjoyed every moment of producing the biggest golf magazine in the world to Malaysian golfers. I would like to thank all our loyal subscribers and advertisers for believing in us for all these wonderful years. THE DANGEROUS REALITY OF SOCIAL MEDIA

Received this morning on Whatsapp. The perils and social ills arising from a world of humans sucked into social media, and the subconscious desire to get more likes certainly has changed us. This Whatsapp message I received this morning certainly sends a reality jolt: _Police Questioning a Robber:_ *Police:* How did you come to know that there was no one in the house? *Robber:* The update of the entire family with 15 photos was available on facebook. *_"Enjoying Holidays away from home for one week_".* Think about this seriously. *_Be careful what you put on facebook._* Discuss this with your children & wards. *_Stop sharing personal information on the social media!!!_* 📛 Don't advertise your happiness on social media. 📛 Don't advertise your happy marriage On social media. 📛 Don't advertise your holidays on social media. 📛 Don't advertise your kids achievements on social media. 📛 Don't advertise your pregnancy on social media. 📛

Every action, seeds the future. Even on social media.

Clickbait. Don't know what that means? Click here for its meaning: https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/clickbait Before clickbait stories (extremely short pieces) came along, there was something known as journalism. But we now know that the knights of the journalism order are a dying breed, or extinct, due to the world's hunger and greed to sell digitally. Those days, newspapers called it sensationalism. Today, this need is called a trend. A trend that was created from a need to make the world a better place to live in. The digital age is wonderful but it comes with many uncountable prices to pay. What about telling the truth to expunge the evil side of man? To stop bigots and bullies from trampling on the weak. Are we not forgetting to uphold this simple virtue of humanity for the  sake of getting more eyeballs amongst those aged 21-35? What about raw and accurate facts in stories found on the web? What about justice instead of profits? I bet the majorit
