TOP 20: A Typical Day During the MCO

Gain inspiration and lessons from 'Buddhism Daily' via Facebook. Keeps my mind calm. While texting with a friend on Whatsapp a few days ago, I was asked, "What do you do to keep occupied during the MCO?" That got me thinking... What do I usually do during this lock down on a daily basis? Made half boiled eggs after a long hiatus. Life on a tight budget!  Well, apart from trying to acquire sales for my trading business here's what else I do to keep busy, and depending on my Cancerian mood: 1. Water the plants 2. Do the laundry 3. Learn Mandarin online (5 minutes daily lessons) 4. Make misai kucing (Cat's whiskers) tea 5. Call a friend 6. Receive enquiries on products my company sells 7. Meditate 8. Read the news (I am taking advice to stop reading about Covid-19 to stay sane) 9. Clean the condo and toilets 10. Whatsapp friends whom I think are bored to their wits like me! 11. The Crazy World of Covid-19

Obviously, no country or human being is spared by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our life's have been changed. The normal life, or what we think it was, is no longer the same. The world economy is suffering already. Businesses will be hit hard in the coming weeks, and will be transformed eventually. If and when the virus is contained, we will likely see a new world order in all countries. And, in the way we live and interact with each other. Normal, will not be that normal again. Into the second day of Malaysia's Movement Control Order, staying at home for me isn't so bad. I get to appreciate the home that I pay rent for. I get to reflect on my life and the life that I have lived. We get to do the things that we have worked hard for. The only drawback about social distancing is that we can't meet family members of friends. We can't watch a movie, can't play tennis, can't play golf or can't visit our favourite restaurants.
